I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Japan. My research focuses on health services research and dementia epidemiology, leveraging causal inference (including natural experiments) and machine learning methods. My work has been published in Annals of Internal Medicine, JAMA Surgery, Journal of General Internal Medicine, and American Journal of Epidemiology, among other international journals.
